I grew up on an island, in little towns. The ocean is a place of solace to me. Fresh air in my lungs rejuvenates me. When I’m outside experiencing creation, I feel the most at ease. Having said that, I am still a happy homemaker, and have built many treasured memories both inside and outside of our home.

I married my highschool sweetheart, Mark. We have 3 beautiful children who are a constant delight with their individual personalities. Their imaginations, laughter and interactions constantly inspire me. We go on many outings together, but also we just love cuddling under a blanket to read stories.

There are so many things in life I enjoy, consequently I find it hard to narrow down the options to become really good at just one thing, so instead I dabble in all kinds of stuff. It is a lot of fun that way anyhow. Poetry is just one of those dabblings. Writing down my thoughts through a poem is like a game I play in my own head. I just can’t quit until I win. Whether it is about a spiritual matter I am grappling with or something just plain silly, I find it somewhat amusing expressing myself with this form of literary art. This blog is just going to be a outlet for me to share some of them.

    • Mom, you really are the most fun and enthusiastic person to share anything with… thanks for your constant input and positive feedback, especially with my kids. Strange it took me one year to date to reply to your remark! ha!

    • Ha ha… thank goodness you don’t have those nasty things. They move way too fast. We also have earwigs, but they don’t pester me as much for some reason… Anyway, it’s lovely to meet you and thanks for checking our my poetry. 🙂

  1. I’m so glad to meet you Keely! I’m glad you found me. Thank you for the follow, and I am happy to follow you. I see some of my blogging friends follow you as well. Very fun to see their gravatars here! 🙂

    • Ha ha yes… I found you… stumbled upon by a common gravatar… But I followed you because 2 things. 1) Your art and poetry is simply put… GORGEOUS! 2) I see you have adopted. This is so beautiful. I have recently witnessed it first hand. My brother and his lovely wife adopted two brothers from DRC. Okay, 3) It is amazing to see someone use their gifts to inspire others to such ends. God bless you and your family’s endeavours. Cheers! ❤ ~Keely

    • Lisa, you’re so sweet for doing so, and I do feel honored. I am, however, going to decline as I keep my blog for poetry posts only. It was a pleasure reading your post and getting know you a little better. ❤ ~Key

  2. Hi Keely,
I also grew up on an island and still love the ocean. I even work on it now. It’s hard to even imagine doing anything else. I do also love to ‘dabble’, here’s to more of that stuff! 😉
Thanks for stopping by, I’m glad you liked it.
