Succumb to Autumn

Standard

It’s falling upon us…
The earth made a slight tip,
And temperatures dipped,
There’s coolness in the air;
We’ve succumb to autumn.

It’s falling upon us…
Swifter breezes tickle trees,
And leaves give up their green,
A humble change takes place;
We’ve succumb to autumn.

It’s falling upon us…
A love for everything that’s cozy,
Crisp walks with cheeks all rosy,
Wonder at the flaming colors;
We’ve succumb to autumn.

It’s falling upon us…
The sunset descending sooner,
Yet evergreens still stand truer,
Outstretched arms break the fall,
When we’ve succumb to autumn.

Love Bug

Standard

“Let love and faithfulness never leave you; bind them around your neck,

write them on the tablet of your heart.” ~Proverbs 3:3

DSC_0003

Cootie tenderness;
He bugs me, but he loves me.
Uxorious pest!

DSC_0008

Sweet irritation;
I bug him, but I love him.
Beetling fondness.

DSC_0017

It’s punch buggy love.
We bug each other madly!
Insectile romance.

You see through me
to my very core.
You see me as i am,
nothing less and
nothing more.
before You i sit
completely exposed,
in my barest state,
completely unclothed.
should i cover up?
should i feel shame?
if it's just You and me,
there's nothing hidden
on my frame
that You've not touched,
that You've not made.
naked from the womb
i came;
naked to the tomb
i'll return again.
and for all the days
that are in between,
to Your eyes,
i'm not unseen
because You see through me,
to my utmost core.
You see me as i am,
nothing less and
nothing more.
